Period was the period in Japan which was when different Shoguns came and past
ultimately ruling Japan for the time when they ruled.

A shogunate essentially was the military general and has the most rule over Japan. Understandably
when he gets into power under his own rule of shogunate which is the rule he
comes under his power is unmatched in Japan making him the Ultimate person in
charge.
Shogunates
changed in Japan very drastically for the time that they ruled. During the
Tokugawa shogunate Japan was closed from the rest of the world for 260 years.
This shows the shear amount of power that the Shogun had when they resided for
power when their shogunate ruled.
